Organic Coco Peat Soil Amender (also known as coco coir) isused to keep yoursoil loose and aerated as well as adding organic matter to your soil composition. Itworks great in building clay and sandy soils into good soil mediums.
CocoPeat is a waste product obtained during the extraction of coir fiber from thecoconut husk. Coco Peat is very light, highly compressible and readily absorbsand retains moisture. It is comprised of 100 % organic material.
All of these factors make it perfect for horticultural applications. It replaces peatmoss, perlite, and rock wool.
5 KG Block makes 65 75 liters of material that can be used as a growth medium by itself or added to soil to create a great environment for plants.
1) Place coco peat block into a wheelbarrow or bucket
2) Add up to 20 Litres of water
3) Wait 15-30 minutes
4) Break apart and stir by hand, with a hoe, spade or shovel
5) Now you are ready to mix it into whatever grow medium you want.
For container/potting soil mixes: Use at a rate of one part coco peat to two parts top soil
Coco Peat can account for up to 40 percent of the potting mix!
